Jimmy Baron sets two tournament records
Rhode Island's Jimmy Baron set two tournament records. In the finals of the consolation bracket (Game 10), Baron set the single game three point record by knocking down nine 3 pointers. The previous record was six by Tony Bobbitt (Cincinnati - 1994).

Baron also broke the tournament record for total three pointers made with 16. The previous record 13 by Tony Bobbitt (Cincinnati - 1994) and Askia Jones (Kansas State - 1994).
